Henley based Cognitive Hypnotherapist, Sounds Positive, has been awarded a grant of £1,000 towards new IT equipment that will enable them to provide online webinars to clients.
Sounds Positive received the Sustainable Routes grant which is available to businesses throughout Oxfordshire and aims to reduce business travel and CO2 levels.
By hosting their seminars online, instead of at locations across the UK, Sounds Positive will eliminate travel for both tutors and clients. It is also expected that the number of attendees will significantly increase.
Owner of Sounds Positive, Lysette Offley said: “The grant was used to replace old, inefficient computer equipment and software with new equipment and bespoke software specifically designed for delivery of services online. This means that material can be delivered via online webinars instead of people having to travel to attend seminars. This has given the business a tremendous boost at a really crucial stage in its development. I’ve moved from a position of frustration with the old systems to really enjoying the work. The paperwork to access the grant was easy to follow; I could complete it without needing to contact my accountant. This has made a huge difference to my business, and I just want to say a big thank you to Sustainable Routes.”
Sounds Positive offers a variety of approaches to help solve problems and achieve goals such as anxiety, phobias and stopping smoking.
Sustainable Routes enables businesses to reduce their business travel and operate more efficiently. It is a match funded grant of up to £1,000 that can be put towards the cost of implementing an initiative such as remote working, developing flexible working policies, video conferencing equipment and fuel conversion for company owned vehicles. It is available to businesses with less than 250 employees across Oxfordshire.

I don't know if this is the right place to write about this but something truly brilliant is happening in the village where I live. Some locals have started an initiative to share everything, as they call it, basically it's all about people helping each other with their skills, with trips they are making from Bagshot, even with stuff that they own. It really is people power and it's working amazingly well in our little Surrey village. Everyone please have a look at this, we're getting lots of press coverage now and there is an amazing buzz about the high street! http://www.taskedo.com Some coverage we've had: http://www.socialenterpriselive.com/your-news/villagers-share-everything-beat-the-recession
